Mark Harland is a super-talented wordsmith we’ve been fortunate enough to work with across the years. He cut his teeth in the charity sector in the Big Smoke before returning back to God’s Own Country. Since his return, he has been creating dazzling copy for a range of organisations large and small.
THE BRIEF
Mark had a website he’d created years before which no longer reflected his personality or where he was professionally. We put our heads together over a brew to discuss his thoughts on design and direction. Mark had very specific ideas, wanting a very ‘wordy’ feel to communicate his craft in a visually striking way. This was a true collaboration from the start.
THE ELBOW GREASE
To create and develop Mark’s shiny new site, we:
- sat down with Mark over several meetings to brainstorm ideas and to drill down into the essence of his brand/personality
- researched the approach taken by other creative copywriters, as well as type-driven websites
- presented several visual concepts
- developed a final design based on Mark’s chosen concept and his feedback
